After all these years, I finally gave into getting myself an iPhone. That was one of my best decisions recently. Seriously, how did I go so long without one?
However, truth be told, I was resistant and hesitant, to make the switch from the Blackberry to the iPhone. With much convincing that it was time to get a new phone (missed texts and calls with delayed messages), I finally realized it was necessary. So I upgraded my phone (my life at the same time) though decided to keep the same network.
It wasn’t until about 2 months later that I discovered the GPS App – several of them! How could I have missed this? Literally, I was on my way out the door, to celebrate my sister, Amanda’s birthday, at the VIEW, a waterfront restaurant overlooking the Great South Bay in Oakdale, NY, when I realized I didn’t have directions for where I was going.
Right at that moment, I discovered with a few simple clicks from the Facebook invite, I was sent to the GPS App (Maps), and then I was cruising with my new navigation partner. Perhaps I should share that before this day, I literally would use Google maps or Map Quest to write out or print out the directions. I’m not kidding you. Yes, a definite time waster it was.
How liberating it was to let the GPS take over! It was one less worry and one less thing I had to plan. I loved this! So from that day forward, I committed to turning over my sense of control to my new navigation partner for driving to new places. And with that one simple action, it’s another way, I learn to let go and surrender.
Surrender to letting go to trying to control every situation in the how, when and where it will happen. Rather allow the GPS to take me places, all while at the same time I deepen my trust in my intuition by staying connected to my inner self. I feel supported and taken care of.
It’s so worth it. Liberation. Inner Peace. GPS, Take Me There. I Surrender!

So in what ways can you surrender to your inner guide/intuition and the guidance surrounding you? What ways can you simplify or eliminate a practice/routine that no longer serves you? Would love to hear your thoughts on this in the comment section below.
