Summer has finally arrived – ahh! I’ll be kicking off this weekend with an extended weekend (Love taking Fridays off in the Summer!!) and a day trip to East Hampton to see a theater play called LUV a Comedy at the Guild Hall. So let me count the ways I Love Summer, and please join in with me.

What I Love About Summer! Here are some of my Favorites.

Sunshine waking me up at the rise of dawn shining through my bedroom window. Just so Revitalizing! Longer summer days and sunshine makes some worries go away.
Running outdoors in the parks, in the neighborhoods, in the sun, in the shade, whether early or late in the day. Discovering new paths and personal journeys along the way!

Embrace Change, Face Your Fears, and Prepare Yourself for What’s to Come. Happiness is on the Horizon!

Prepare to Take Center Stage in Your Life. It’s time!
Prepare to Take Center Stage in Your Life. It’s time!

Change is definitely coming. It’s coming from all directions. I’ve been waiting on some change to come into my life. In fact, I’ve intentionally been creating change with myself and allowing myself to learn to take more risks by stepping more and more outside my comfort zone. Facing my fears and committing to goals I never thought I could ever achieve…that’s what I’ve been focused on.

I’ve been living my life with no regrets, and I have traveled to the other side of the world. I’m not waiting for life to happen. I’m creating my life and destiny right now.

Learning how to get out of my own way, and taking a leap of faith, rather than questioning later on what if I had just given it a try. Sharing my heart [Continue Reading...]

Procrastination – I Won’t Let You Get the Best of Me!

Just thinking about all the catch up I need to do can stress me out. Ever feel like this? Seriously, between finishing up work initiatives, social gatherings/events, writing projects, my book proposal, it can all get a little overwhelming.

Thinking about work, there have been times for me when I never thought I would ever catch up with Employee Relations notes. To elaborate further, Employee Relations is simply described as an issue in the workplace related to an employee, whether it is just that employee, between several employees, or even a more serious complaint made against another employee/management or the company.

When people ask me what do I do in my HR role, I typically respond that I manage every aspect of HR for the facility I support, which includes hiring, firing, [Continue Reading...]

Here’s another confession, so brace yourself for what I’m about to share. I recognize that I can be really intense and have this honest straight-forward-tell-it-like-it-is personality. Let me share a funny dating story to help you get a better sense.

About three years ago during the summer time, I decided to give online dating, Jdate, a try, after being out there single and dating for almost a year. I was 30 years old and had previously ended a seven year relationship with a guy who insisted on us planning our wedding, but he couldn’t take the step to actually propose with a ring he supposedly had – yes, he definitely had commitment issues.

After exchanging a few emails, I had a phone conversation with this 28-year-old guy from White Plains, NY, I met [Continue Reading...]
