Hiking up a Volcano on a beautiful paradise tropical island off the coast of Nicaragua on NYE/New Year’s Day is exactly where I intended to be when I booked my GAdventures fascinating tour to Central America, and traveled to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala!

However, plans changed and I came to realize that hiking up Volcano Concepcion or Volcano Madera while in Nicaragua wasn’t going to happen for several reasons. It rained the day before making these extreme hikes now dangerous, especially for a beginner volcano hiker like myself. Ziplining Adventure in Monteverde, Costa Rica - GAdventures Volcano Trail Tour - 12/2012. Facing my fears, Letting go of what is holding me back in life & Embracing the moment at the highest cable of 540 ft above a mountain valley for 1km distance!! I did it!

Monkey see, Monkey do in Monteverde, Costa Rica! From witnessing monkeys hanging in the trees right outside our hotel doors, to Ziplining through the canopy tree tops high above the mountain valleys like fearless monkeys. This was how one of our most adventurous mornings began and ended on our trip!

Ziplining was so exhilarating and liberating, although I had a moment when I didn’t think I could continue on. Truth be told, I was definitely more nervous seeing the distance I had to go rather than the actual height, while waiting on the platform for my turn.

Right before I booked my GAdventures trip, Volcano Trail, through Central America, I had a conversation with one of my close friends, Nicole. After I shared how I was embracing where I am in my life right now, making the effort to live my life without regrets and traveling the world rather than waiting on my husband to show up, Nicole’s response was, “As you should. That’s great! Your hubby will be thoroughly impressed when he shows up.” The very next day, without hesitation, I booked my trip.

Practicing Yoga – Allows me to reconnect with my Inner calm, Focus, Balance & Resilience Against Chaos and Stress!

Maybe I’ve mastered thriving in and rising above chaos because my childhood could be described in that very same one word – chaos. I also believe that mastering my childhood chaos has made me very effective in my HR role, especially in employee relations and keeping my calm and focus in some very intense situations in the workplace. So let me share how I’m allowing for flexibility and continue to build my resilience, so chaos doesn’t get the best of me!
