Being the self-development junkie that I am, I can’t even begin to completely describe the sense of renewness and possibilities that fills me when several anticipated books arrive to my condo at the same time. And in this past week, three new books arrived that really spoke to me that I’ll be reading after I finish with Happy Belly.

Of course, you may recognize some of the names of the authors of who I’ve mentioned before, some of my mentors and teachers. I’m thrilled to share my mentors’ books with you, as I always appreciate their thought-provoking and empowering strategies that have shifted me out of fear and into heart-centered living many times over!

By any chance, have you decided yet on a theme or focus for this year? For me, my [Continue Reading...]

Gandhi, respected spiritual/political leader and humanitarian said, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” Meaning lead by example, be a role-model. Focus inward, rather than trying to control what’s outward. Living and being self-disciplined, despite how you view external factors right now.

Being more connected with ourselves. Allowing others to find their way in their own time. Especially the people close to us. Releasing attachment of our expectations for how people show up in their own lives. And truth-be-told, I catch myself falling back into this pattern of holding on to expectations I see for others. Between you and me, it’s a difficult one to master. I keep practicing.

And the opposite of being in this practice, convincing others the expectations you have for yourself is just [Continue Reading...]

???????????????????????????

What if right now isn’t your time to be in the spotlight? I know you might be thinking that’s not what I want to hear. I can relate to that impatience or frustration as well. Later on here I share a personal story of how I was able to embrace the approach of letting someone else shine and how you can do the same.

For the moment though, honestly consider this possibility. Especially if you’re seeking to climb to the highest level in your career/business or make a dream a reality or have that desired romantic relationship with a partner that truly knows and supports you.

You may actually be setting all the right intentions, taking all the right actions and even seeing results. You may secretly desire to be recognized as [Continue Reading...]

Focusing on what’s not happening or what’s wrong is a sure way to keep manifesting the same. And indeed it will only bring you more of what you don’t want. Then bam…Frustration and the lack of control feelings arise to the 10th degree. Ever have that happen? Well, I’ve definitely fallen into this trap before.

Oh and then there’s those moments, where it’s taking your spirit for life and challenging you in ways like no other. All we then desire is to have everything go back to being Normal. So we can get back part of ourselves that has gone missing. We may even be begging, pleading, and praying. Asking why and when it will all be over.

Because what we desire is that freedom, to feel like ourselves again.

Though, what if, [Continue Reading...]

Laos - GAdventures SE Asia Tour - 2/2012

Sacrificing anything and everything to get my book proposal done, that’s how passionate I was about it. Though, I never realized how this promise, the stress and major sleep deprivation (consistently getting less than 5/6 hours) would impact my health. Sure, my daily dose of green juice and eating more of an alkaline diet kept the flu and even strep throat away when my sister, Amanda, came down with it. But my body couldn’t recover and it absolutely needed to.

Never mind, the warning signs to change something or to take a sick day: the irritability, not being able to think straight, and my heart racing on exhaustion overdrive that it had difficulty shifting down a few gears!

Yes, I survived, though the lack of sleep is nothing to be proud of. [Continue Reading...]

PRAISE

I cannot thank you enough for all that you did! Thank you for your advice throughout the process. The article, Are you Obsessing Over or Manifesting What you Desire, truly inspired me and was very personally relevant to my situation. Great advice and kept me focused on the right energy without obsessing and led to the desired outcome! I was truly not attached to the outcome, just hopeful of it. What less stress and anxiety I felt, as a result. Highly recommend this Manifesting concept!

I just wanted to say I never told you what an amazing woman I thought you were and such a great role model. I know I’m older, but I definitely learned a thing or two from you. It took me some time, but I’m finding my way.

I loved reading this! I read it twice. This is by far one of the best statements I’ve come across…”holding on longer came at a very big expense of taking or challenging my spirit for life, my energy/motivation, my time, my goals/dreams, my focus, and my physical/mental/emotional health!

Sarina’s intelligent, tactful, yet straight forward demeanor blends well with multiple personalities. As an HR Manager and Life Coach, she has incredible insight as well as great presentation skills. Having had the opportunity to attend a seminar she gave on How to Win Over the Hiring Manager, it was impressive to see how engaged the audience was, and the take away of helpful hints was over the top. Having attended seminars with many of the top ‘name brand’ training companies, I can say that the training received from Sarina was outstanding in its practical, no-nonsense and immediately applicable approach. Sarina was excellent at keeping the whole group involved. The experience was a great investment for all who participated.

Sarina as a speaker is inspiring and engaging. Her perspective of Learning How to Embrace Change and How she became a Half Marathon Runner left a lasting impression on my High School Students. How to ʺbounce backʺ from some tough obstacles was empowering and insightful on the approach to life. Keep doing what you’re doing! Look forward to having you back as a Class Speaker!
