Blog - Living a Healthy Lifestyle Inside Out

Listen up; it’s not just about exercising. So I’m going to let you in on one my biggest secrets on how I live a healthy lifestyle inside out. I’m known as the “Fiber Queen” with my friends, family, and coworkers. Literally, everyone knows this and will ask me for tips and advice on how to incorporate more fiber into their diets, and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It may come as a surprise to people, when they realize that I tend to have in moderation, some sweets everyday. Love Dark Chocolate Edamames, Red Velvet cupcakes, Rainbow cookies/cake, and Ralph’s Ices!

However, I wasn’t always known as the “Fiber Queen”. This all came about back when I was a senior in college. In Respect & Honor Your Inner-Neurotic Quirky Self, previous blog [Continue Reading...]

Had an epiphany the other day in realizing how I made it to where I am today in my life. For years, I had been attributing it to hope, determination, being insightful, analytical and resourceful. However, it became quite obvious that it goes beyond just that.

It actually comes down to implementing the special dynamic duo of Hope and Expectations. Similar, yet not quite the same meaning in this respect. Hope, or the faith that my future would be better, is what motivated me. Expectations are what I saw as actions taken based on the Hope. So it was both Hope and Expectations that I had to be successful in life that formed my ambition to create the life that I desired.

Hope and Expectation that my life would be better and [Continue Reading...]

Summer has finally arrived – ahh! I’ll be kicking off this weekend with an extended weekend (Love taking Fridays off in the Summer!!) and a day trip to East Hampton to see a theater play called LUV a Comedy at the Guild Hall. So let me count the ways I Love Summer, and please join in with me.

What I Love About Summer! Here are some of my Favorites.

Sunshine waking me up at the rise of dawn shining through my bedroom window. Just so Revitalizing! Longer summer days and sunshine makes some worries go away.
Running outdoors in the parks, in the neighborhoods, in the sun, in the shade, whether early or late in the day. Discovering new paths and personal journeys along the way!
Seeing my neighborhood come alive and spending more [Continue Reading...]

Prepare to Take Center Stage in Your Life. It’s time!
Prepare to Take Center Stage in Your Life. It’s time!

Change is definitely coming. It’s coming from all directions. I’ve been waiting on some change to come into my life. In fact, I’ve intentionally been creating change with myself and allowing myself to learn to take more risks by stepping more and more outside my comfort zone. Facing my fears and committing to goals I never thought I could ever achieve…that’s what I’ve been focused on.

I’ve been living my life with no regrets, and I have traveled to the other side of the world. I’m not waiting for life to happen. I’m creating my life and destiny right now.

Learning how to get out of my own way, and taking a leap of faith, rather than questioning later on what if I had just given it a try. Sharing my heart [Continue Reading...]

Rise and Shine! Wake up at 4am – Shuttle bus pick up at 5:30am – Race starts at 7am with temperatures in the high 60s going into the high 70s within a few hours. Sunshine will be glazing over us from the Lake Michigan side of Chicago while running many miles in the shade through the parks yet many miles in the sun. Theme song, We Found Love, by Rihanna comes on right as our wave G is up at the start line ready to begin the 13.1 Marathon Series at Chicago.

Couldn’t have been a better way to start the race!

Never in my life have I woken up at 4am for anything, however on this day I did, and then I ran a Half Marathon at 7am. I somehow still managed [Continue Reading...]

PRAISE

I cannot thank you enough for all that you did! Thank you for your advice throughout the process. The article, Are you Obsessing Over or Manifesting What you Desire, truly inspired me and was very personally relevant to my situation. Great advice and kept me focused on the right energy without obsessing and led to the desired outcome! I was truly not attached to the outcome, just hopeful of it. What less stress and anxiety I felt, as a result. Highly recommend this Manifesting concept!

Sarina as a speaker is inspiring and engaging. Her perspective of Learning How to Embrace Change and How she became a Half Marathon Runner left a lasting impression on my High School Students. How to ʺbounce backʺ from some tough obstacles was empowering and insightful on the approach to life. Keep doing what you’re doing! Look forward to having you back as a Class Speaker!

I just wanted to say I never told you what an amazing woman I thought you were and such a great role model. I know I’m older, but I definitely learned a thing or two from you. It took me some time, but I’m finding my way.

I loved reading this! I read it twice. This is by far one of the best statements I’ve come across…”holding on longer came at a very big expense of taking or challenging my spirit for life, my energy/motivation, my time, my goals/dreams, my focus, and my physical/mental/emotional health!

Candice

Sarina’s intelligent, tactful, yet straight forward demeanor blends well with multiple personalities. As an HR Manager and Life Coach, she has incredible insight as well as great presentation skills. Having had the opportunity to attend a seminar she gave on How to Win Over the Hiring Manager, it was impressive to see how engaged the audience was, and the take away of helpful hints was over the top. Having attended seminars with many of the top ‘name brand’ training companies, I can say that the training received from Sarina was outstanding in its practical, no-nonsense and immediately applicable approach. Sarina was excellent at keeping the whole group involved. The experience was a great investment for all who participated.
